You will notice that some of our products may not be available at the moment. This is because we take our lead from nature and breed and raise our livestock in the correct seasons.
Why when we could supply meat all year round? Because the meat we seek to produce is a meat that has grazed natures medicine chest and all the nutraceuticals in it and what they eat - we eat!
Spring is the season when most livestock give birth for the simple reason that food is plentiful and nutritious. From a herbal perspective it is also the time when beneficial herbs such as milk wort and speedwell emerge to aid milk production in sheep. Chickweed full of vitamins is abundant for new born chicks and pigs, well pigs eat everything in sight but the herbs that are required for peak animal health are provided by nature at the right time so long as you work to the same time frame.
We do our best to have meat available for as long as possible but the best way to ensure you get to enjoy our herb grazed meat is to pre order. That way we can raise/hatch enough livestock in the spring to meet demand.
